Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach to your health designed to support your body’s natural ability to heal itself while simultaneously alleviating you of a host of symptoms and disease states.

To put it simply: Nutritional Therapy = Health = HAPPINESS!

Whereas many conventional doctors simply treat your symptoms with pharmaceutical drugs—many of which may cause you unpleasant side effects, while never addressing the actual underlying problem—as a Nutritional Therapist, I am more interested in understanding the WHY behind your symptoms and from this place, I can offer you a more valuable and permanent solution to your health.

All symptoms are merely warning signs that something in your physiology has gone awry. Symptoms are how your body talks to you.

If your car’s “check engine” light goes off, you don’t simply have it removed to fix the problem, do you? And if you rig it so the light is turned off without going through with the necessary repairs, the problem still exists, right?

Imagine that your fatigue, anxiety or stubborn weight is a “check engine” light. Downing an energy drink or popping a pill only muffles your body’s message to you that something is in need of attention. When symptoms go unaddressed they can evolve into full-blown disease states.

Many of our modern day diseases and ailments stem from deficiencies and imbalances in the body’s physiology brought on by stress, toxins, and poor nutrition. If given half the chance though, the body can heal itself leaving you free to fully enjoy life again. Health is your birthright!

The philosophy behind Nutritional Therapy is that health is built on five, interconnected foundations:

When balance and harmony are restored to the foundations, this is when optimal health results.

So, how is this done, you ask?

Nutritional Therapists are paraprofessionals trained to identify and restore areas of imbalance in your body—we do not diagnose, but often work in conjunction with medical doctors and/or other practitioners.

As a Nutritional Therapist, I have been trained in clinical functional evaluation, Lingual-Neuro-Testing, diet and food journal evaluation, as well as individual counseling.

My certification emphasizes a delicious whole food, properly-prepared, nutrient-dense diet and a simple step-by-step approach to helping you begin to make changes in your diet and lifestyle while never feeling deprived.

Nutritional Therapy does not promote fad diets or calorie counting, rather it adheres to the word diet as it came from the Latin word Diaeta which means a way of life.

Moreover, there is no one-size-fit-all diet; there are only bioindividual diets based on your metabolism and ancestry. Two people can eat the exact same diet with totally different outcomes.

Nutritional therapists are trained to understand exactly how certain foods interact with the body making our recommendations science-based. For instance, one important function of water— the most common nutritional deficiency in the American population—is to transport your hormones, neurotransmitters and other important nutrients throughout your body—so we may ask you how much water you are drinking.

While I primarily use food as medicine, I also have training in and access to professional grade supplement lines and ALCAT food intolerance testing, should you choose to delve deeper and layer these optional elements into your personal protocol.

As your Nutritional Therapist, your improved health and quality of life is of the utmost of importance to me.
